2nd Leadership Conference hones WRI leader

NAGA CITY --- Last October 26, 2012, WRI Colleges conducted again a seminar entitled “2nd Leadership Conference and Workshop 2012”.  The said activity was held at WRI Colleges Ground Floor, Concepcion Grande, Naga City from 8:00 A.M until 6:00 P.M.

These seminars are very important to student-leaders because it helps a lot on learning how to be a good leader.

All WRI-Naga students, faculty and staff participated in the said seminar with other branches of WRI-Rinconada and Calabanga.

The formal program started at 8:00 A.M. with the arrival of participants, registration, audio presentation, tribute to Jesse M. Robredo and the Filipino youth for today.

At exactly 8:30 am started the formal opening ceremony through the doxology presented by the performing arts, Philippine National Anthem/WRI Hymn presented by the SAMAFIL followed by the Welcome Address delivered by Amy Z. Neola, Administrator, Acknowledgement of participants presented by Francis Roxas and Introduction of the Guest speaker by Rey Angelo  Barrameda.

There were seven topics.  The first was “Knowing Life’s Purpose, Spiritual Values and Qualities of a Godly Leader” delivered by CLEAVE Group in the morning session.

In afternoon session, the topics were: “Leading people to work together as a team” and “How to make a proposal” discussed by Atty. Sheena Ester Arteta; “How to create a minutes” and “How to be Sexy (The Duties of a Secretary)” discussed by Ronnel Joseph Competente of Internation Office for Migration and “Conflict Resolution” discussed by WRI Instructor Shiena Barrameda.  

It also has a simple workshop about “Events Management/Planning and Learning’s on how to make proposal and cover letter” discussed by Competente as facilitator.

The students learned a lot on how to be good leaders and facing struggles encountered in life.
This activity was made possible through the effort of the Circles of Leaders of WRI Naga with the support of the management.
